Glass Guarantee

For a period of 5 years, counting from the date of delivery, which by the way always will be stamped into the aluminium border of the double-glazed window, Vrogum guarantees that double-glazed windows delivered for building remain free from dust and steam in the interior of the window. The Guarantee only covers the delivery of a spare glass pane.

The Guarantee does not cover potential expenses for:

• Fitting, including cranes, scaffolds etc. that are used, when the glass pane cannot be installed through normal access roads.
• Structural jobs or dismounting of supervening building parts.
• Possible supplementary work such as work of a bricklayer, joiner or painter.

The Guarantee is conditioned by the following:

• That the glass pane is fitted according to the Vrogum fitting directions.
• That the glass pane is not damaged by external influences, such as bumps, strokes, movements of supplementary constructions etc.
• That damages do not occur as a result of frost bursts, thermal influence or chemical attacks on the pane – or weathering due to wrong storage.
• That the glass pane has not been subjected to working such as grinding, sandblasting, etching, painting or another surface treatment.
• That a necessary, current upkeep of frame/window case and fitting materials is carried out.

Furthermore, we refer you to Vrogum´s  Maintenance Instructions along with ”GS Glasindustriens Samarbejdsorganisations garantibestemmelser” (The Guarantee Conditions Of The Glass Industry’s Association) published in January 1996.
